28 Sep 2010 to 29 Sep 2010
- Berlin, Germany
iSmithers conference developed to coincide with the progression of the Biocidal Products Directive and the REACH regulations.
Despite demands for biocides to be used in materials such as plastics, textiles and surface coatings to prevent microbial deterioration, enhance function and provide hygienic effects, many suppliers and formulators of treated articles have been forced to reformulate in the face of regulatory challenges. This has resulted in the rationalisation of many product lines and the removal of a large number of active ingredients from the market.
